Tuesday. August 20 at 4:30 PM
1 min. readA prominent Dogecoin (DOGE) influencer has raised concerns about a fraudulent scheme aimed at members of the DOGE community. The influencer issued a strong caution regarding a new scam on social media posing as the Dogecoin Foundation. On August 17, the influencer known as ‘Inevitable360’ alerted followers on X (formerly Twitter) about the deceptive account impersonating the official DOGE Foundation’s profile. The Dogecoin Foundation, dedicated to DOGE’s development, has become a prime target for scammers due to its social media presence. The impersonator's account mimics the Foundation’s profile to deceive DOGE investors. In response, Inevitable360 urged the community to report the fake account to prevent further scams and protect investors. Similarly, the Shiba Inu community has also faced scam threats, prompting the Shibarmy Scam Alerts to advise on safeguarding against fraudulent activities in the meme coin space.
